Nonito is squandering all momentum that he had.He was electrifying in his last 2 wins and seemed poised to become a lighter weight superstar on the order of a Michael Carbajal. He needs to fight period! The big fights will come as long as he keeps defending the title.

Good. I think Donaire has the potential to be the one of the best boxers in the sport, but he shouldn't be taking long breaks like this. Its no surprise opponents are reluctant to face him, but as someone already said, if he keeps fighting regularly his name will stay on peoples lips. After this defence I would like him to move back to super-feather and take on all comers. The fight I want to see most, more than any other in boxing, is Donaire v Mijares, a fight I believe Donaire could win.

I'm worried that the long lay off is going to show in his next fight. I hope I'm wrong. Donaire is one of my current favorites.

That would be a great fight. Very technical.

It would be incredible. My feeling is that while Mijares is the slightly more skilled boxer, Donaire is close enough to him that Mijares would just not be able to outclasss him and win rounds clearly the way he often does. I think both boxers would get hit in an excellent display of speed and precision, but that Donaire's power would carry the day.

Donaire is an exciting fighter to watch .... DOnaire and Mijares would be an instant classic that would be every bit as good as cotto Margarito.... it would also keep the Mexican-Filipino rivalry going .... i would think Mijares would win but would be a great matchup.... i actually like the Mexican Filipino rivalry much more the Mexico Puerto rico ...FIlipinos fight alot like Mexicans with big punches and a willingness to fight than run around and try to win decisions

                nonito not to be blamed

reall it is disgusting seeing one of the best boxer today squandering his time and talent outside yhe ring..but whose to blame?of course not nonito.two main reasons are:1)many in his weight division afraid to face him and i am sure even jorge arce will think hundred times if he has the chance to beat donaire..otherwise we will miss this one.but money will still have final say.(2)politics in this sport will rotten the whole system..hope somebody will come to save the mess from promoters who are manipulating the boxing scene..amen!!

                    nonito will dominate this division.

watch him unleash his power left hook in his next fight.
