Duran, Leonard, Mayweather, Chavez(although he would face himself twice), Pryor, Hearns.
Simple thread: Name a fighter who'd go threw DLH's resume undefeated??

Slick does my post make sense? Since you asked
"You mean the fighters he lost to also?"
Please let me know if I made a mistake. I want to fix it.Comment

Well in that case no one. I first picked Duran but he wouldn't have beaten a prime Trinidad at welterweight, horrible style match up for him. I can just see Tito tearing him up with those hooks. Duran had decent defense but Trinidad has broken through fighters who's defense were superior.Comment

You didn't make a mistake. I just wasn't sure if we were including the opposition that Oscar lost to as well. No biggie.

well, you have to take into account the 130 thing. the fighter would have to be able to make that weight and still win the fights...the making the weight thing would make it impossible for someone like Thomas Hearns or Ray Leonard.
Duran could have beaten everyone that De La Hoya faced...hell, I think he would have even given Hopkins a run for his money if he was in shape and everything.
Whitaker could have done it too, I dont think it would have been impossible at all for him to make 130 if he wanted to.
Chavez would have had a good chance. he would run into some trouble with certain fighters though, like Quartey and Mosley. Trinidad would also be a pain.
Mayweather would have a good shot, but again, Mosley, Quartey and Trinidad would have posed big problems.
that about does it. I dont think anyone else could make 130 and beat everyone that Oscar faced.Comment

only maybe whitaker...i think mosley and quartey would be difficult for him though..........but counting hopkins, then no one...Comment

The weight range provided is odd enough that it limits you basically to Duran only (even he wasn't at 130), and he would not go through it undefeated (no way he beats Hopkins at 160). Pacquiao has had a similar run coming up from 108, but neither of them built substantial careers at their lower weights. Mayweather likewise would not be able to handle Hopkins at the very least, and is naturally much smaller than DLH. Considering that Mayweather built his career at 130 rather than moving up rapidly, strong comparisons can be made between the two in terms of weight ranges.Comment

duran i think would have problems with tito-vargas...who were very strong and technical....i think id favor tito over him...mosley would possibly give him fits too...but duran did beat a greater sugar....
CHavez is trash at welter.....Mosley would kill him....
Mayweather loses to Mosley almost surely IMO...Tito, Quartey and Vargas give him fits....
theres no one else tat could go 130 up....Comment
