Anybody wants to see Concepcion v. Bautista as a Dec 6 undercard?

Bernabe Concepcion facing Boom Boom Bautista on December 6 anyone?..of course as one of the undercard fights in Pacman vs. Dela Hoya. Who are for this fight? I read somewhere that Bautista's already included there...awaiting his opponent.

not a good fight for rey.

he still hasn't regained his confidence from getting blown out by daniel.

rey would be timid and get ktfo by bernabe.

I always wondered why they never put 2 pinoys to fight each other?? They put mexican vs mexican, and other races to there own race. Why not pinoy vs pinoy?

most of the pinoys you've been seeing lately are gbp guys.

pinoys obviously fight pinoys all the time just not when it's televised in the u.s.

ever since manny , gbp and others think there's a market for filipino vs. mexican fights and that's what they promote.

Yeah i guess maybe theres more top rated mexican fighters tho..

            They had...

            Barrera/morales
            Vasquez/gonzalez
            Montiel/Castillo
            Vasquez/Marquez
            Arce/Mijares
            Marquez/barrrera

just to name a few.. I cant really think of Top pinoys that are in the same weight class other than Buatista/concepcion.

Well, we could have had a unification with Donnie Nietes and Florante Condes but ALA didn't want that, they know Nietes wouldn't win fighting a live opponent.

There's also bad blood between Nonito Donaire and Brian Villoria and I think that would make for an interesting pinoy vs. pinoy match-up.

The much ballyhooed ALA fighter Milan Melindo could also fight battle tested Juanito Rubillar if ALA's got guts... if not there's always the not-as-dangerous Sonny Boy Jaro.

Thing is AJ Banal, Z Gorres and another ALA fighter watzizname is in the same weightclass at superflyweight yet I am pretty sure unknown Filipino flyweight Drian Franciso (15-0-1, 11KOs), would win over those guys.

there are great trainers in mexico and it's very easy for them to go to the u.s. for training as well.

hopefully filipino boxers will get more chances because of manny.

remember manny was close to giving up and moving back to philippines before he got his shot at ledwaba. he only got that shot as a fill in too.

I've never been impressed with Melindo but Gorres is an excellent fighter and arguably should own 2 belts by now after his fights with Montiel and Darchinyan. I'd bet on him against any champ in the division except Mijares

Honestly, I like Gorres too, very sound fundamentals, thing is, these boxers are too pampered - content. They came from poor backgrounds according to their press releases but you don't see that drive in them to escape the hard life...they don't look like fighters who come from adversity. They look more like fighters who are used to fighting boxers with lesser skills than them, that is probably why when they are pitted against opponents with similar skills but with the "drive" and the "hunger" they lose, because they don't seem to have the same fire in them. They're basically resting on their laurels and that I blame on their management, and instead of taking criticism they ban people from airing their views.
