no he was top 5 p4p fighter in his prime but never no.1, imo though if i had to rank the greatest boxing brains of his generation - winky would defo be up there, imo there aren't better in ring strategist's.

the ring has had many #1's.........whitaker-oscar-tito(shouldnt but w/e)-mosley were all #1 for some time through the "roy jones era" which is to say they were rated #1 p4p by ring, even though roy jones was widely considered the best fighter in the world............
