I can remember him saying he would go to germany to fight Dariusz Michalczewski !
I can also remember him saying he would fight Nigel Benn in London and Calzaghe in wales!
And didnt he say he wanted to fight Lennox Lewis!??

There is a reason he fought Ruiz for a heavyweight title, and not Lewis for the heavyweight title. I am not trying to degrade the win, but Roy knew that Ruiz was a guy he could beat. I don't see how he would beat such a big strong guy like Lennox though

Roy wasn't on D.M's level and was scared. So he fought soft Gonzalez instead.

I've seen every DM fight since 1996 until he retired.......he was callin Roy out from around 1999 until he lost to Gonzalez......my opinion is Roy would've dominated DM! I thought at the time Roy was duckin the dude, but after reading that article I now see the light......
