Gatti grew into 140 fairly well by the time he was fighting Ward.

Nobody put a dent in him at that weight until Floyd and that is nothing to be ashamed of.

Hatton can be hurt just the same as Gatti. Pick em fight. Very exciting and explosive

Hatton would've knocked Gatti out IMO, Gatti was one exciting fighter but he wasn't that good, Hatton would've just been too much for him.

gatti by late ko, but he was never the same after the ward fights, and straight up damaged goods after the mayweather fights, so i guess it would depend on when the fight took place.

This almost happened at 147. Would've been a great fight at 140. I think Hatton would've been too strong and stopped him late.

I am going to have to go with Gatti @ 140 in his prime on pure guts and determination alone......Lefty

****** question: When was Gatti's prime at 140? I mean to say that after the Ward fights he was def. ruined and after the Floyd fight he was even worse. Before the Ward fights I'm not even sure he was filled out at that weight yet.

I guess the best time would be right before his first Ward fight.

I agree would have been action packed and awsome...Some of you fellas get to much into detail it is a fantasy matchup everything here is what if? Well what if Gatti was in hs prime at 140? What if Gatti would have fought Hatton at 140 rather then Ward? What if?......Lefty

true, but there is some logic to it. the ward and mayweather fights took a lot out of him. his reflexes and ability to take a punch had declined. it's all hypothetical anyway, so adding a few more hypotheticals makes sense.
