Rocky Juarez - Losing His Way Into Position

By Cliff Rold - What do you call a weight division which loses Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Joan Guzman, (probably) Juan Manuel Marquez, and Manny Pacquiao all in the span of less than two years? [details]

The last time Rocky looked like the Rocky of old is in the Soto fight. He lost but he put so much offence in that fight and more then 2 times at the end of a few rounds he almost had Soto ready to fall. Losing to Soto is no shame as is his other loses. You put that in perspective very good.

Imo, Barrios is made for Rocky i know most posters are betting against Rocky but im not. I know what Rocky can do and if Barrios is wiling to press Rocky he'll find himself on the floor. It'll be one hell of a fight that is for sure.

And if it wasn't for Rocky in the Olympics i wouldn't have known him, or would have learned about him a few fights in thinking his power is hype which we know it is. Rocky looked great in the Olympics. I'd like to see him throwing many combos up and down like he did in the amatures and at the start of his career he'd be unstoppable.

So far he is in the league of Oba Carr a very good fighter with great skills but came at a time when great fighters held the title. I know Rocky can still win a title and im hoping he can take the steps to do so and build himself to that title shot and not rush into a title shot. He's got to now take his time and work on his punch out put and add that combinations thats been missing from Rocky. I got Rocky by ko in the later rounds.

Sottos defense isn't exactly anything special, manny's younger brother was able to stun Sotto for a second.

It pays to lose to good fighters (and be promo'd by GBP...and be an Olympian...)
