lol at tarver "when im at my best, im undefeated..."

isn't that usually the case of top fighters?!? The same can be said of roy jones without argument. tarver, however, lost to eric harding and jones when tarver was at his best, so even thats not true. now, admittedly, tarver was not his best against b-hop, but there is no excuse for the embarrassing one-sided beating that he took.

despite all this, i think he can stop chinnie dawson if he gets to him with a straight left. if he doesn't rock him though, i think that chad will take it by decision. if dawson does pull off the victory, and its relatively close at all (meaning tarver arguably wins 4 rounds or more), tarver will stomp his feet like a little girl and cry robbery...

      dawson vs tarver

u have to look at this fight at present performances!!!!

tarver has been moderate at best in his last 4 fights, maybe a young unbeaten dangerous fighter might bring out the best in tarver but i seriously doubt it.... Tarver is lazy, seems that he has bad stamina and can he really keep up with the younger legs of chad dawson, because that is what will win this fight, punch output, stamina and work rate - dawson fulfils all these tarver seriously does not throw enough punches and he was blowing hard against clinton woods (who to be honest never threw one relevant punch all night so why was tarver so gassed??????)

there is alot of talk that dawson his chinny!!!, i dont actually think he his that chinny he took the shots from glen johnson - who is not a one punch knockout merchant but still has power to trouble someone if they are chinny.

dawson for me displayed the heart of a champion when he was in trouble he came back and jabbed and threw combos to win a hard fight but in my opinion a deserved win... tarver and johnson are two totally different fighters, johnson is all about pressure fighting and tarver likes to counter punch - a pressure fighter will always trouble dawson more as dawson likes space to tee off with his eye catching combos and his high work rate, tarver works 30 seconds of each round - when he gets hit he will throw punches back which will test his stamina to the limit

tarver has a great chin and he is a hard guy to hit on the button but for me hes slowing down and will be outworked by a young fresher and hungrier fighter, is dawson the saviour of the light heavy quite possibly he is youthful, needs to do a job on tarver to cement his place into the elite... if he beats tarver who is there to fight!!!

      glen johnson rematch
calzaghe fight - will either fight pavlik or retire
jones jr - has nothing to offer
b-hop - challenging but his older now, so could they actually sell the fight??

so really there are no real challenges for chad dawson, but if he beats tarver and b-hop, calzaghe all retire then he could dominate the division for years to come

i fully see him outworking tarver easily enough, i dont think he will get the knock out but hopefully he will work the body to gas tarver (tarver is no spring chicken being 39)

      dawson comfortable victory

      mark my words!!!

I hope Tarver knocks him out so a Johnson rematch would be a possibility.

If Pavlik loses to Hopkins which I think he will, I would love to see the winner of Calzaghe vs Jones, fight the winner of Tarver vs Dawson!

Of the three fights coming up I predict wins for Hopkins, Calzaghe and Dawson.
