LOL, yea when fighters can't pass the eye ball test that is a bad sign of things to come. Unless you bet the other way!

This is why they need to bring back super heavy weights cap off heavy at 235 or so.......No reason why a guy at 215 or 220 should be fighting a 7 foot 1 300 lb monster they would never saction a a junior welter weight against a middle wieght and that is only a 20 lb difference from 140 to 160 so why should marty Barret at 225 lbs fight a 300 lb 7 foot 1 monster?...They have to draw the line somewhere and make the heavy Weight more inetersting like it was in the 70's 80's and 90's......Guys between 5'11 to 6'3 weighing between 210 and 235.....lefty

Yeah, that is usually a portent of bad things to come.

No need for it. The 7'1, 340 lb monster could barely beat a 6'2 John Ruiz who started his career at 180 lbs... And lost big time to Chagaev who is even smaller than Ruiz.

With all that size comes limitations, and a skilled small man can take out the sluggish, slow giant.

Barrett lost because he fought like an idiot, trying to KO Valuev early.

Monte Barrett didn't seem to have a game plan. He saw that big giant and panicked.

I've personally only been to one weigh-in, and that was for Quartey-Forrest. I remember being approached briefly by Sechew Powell who quickly blurted out "THANKSFORTHE*******ADDI'LLSPEAKTOYOUINASECOND" and then ran off to handle something else. And then Ouma was introduced to me and said "IJVHBVIHFDBVFVHBFDIUVF!"
LOL did you find out what Ouma said?

I think that was a direct quote.

It was either that, or he was betting all his chips that Valuev had a glass jaw (like Ty Fields). Like Manchine said, it was an idiotic strategy.
