Shaun George fought like a journeyman in his fight against Byrd who was completely off balance with nothing on his punches. There were large spots in that fight where George didn't do anything, behaving like a sparring partner. He's nowhere near ready for a contending light heavyweight and would be promptly blown out by JohnsonComment

Journeyman??? Wow, I like what I've seen by George in the last couple of years. He seems really focus. It looks like he's getting better with every fight. I would love to see that fight with him and Johnson. Styles make fights. I would pick George to win this fight if it happen by a fair UD. I'm trying to remember who else call Glen Johnson out. I don't think anybody ever did that. You have to respect a guy who want the toughest fights out there. I could be wrong, but isn't that's what the sport is all about? Putting on greats fights?Shaun George fought like a journeyman in his fight against Byrd who was completely off balance with nothing on his punches. George is one of those guys who sometimes needs his trainer to light a fire under his ass. I've been to three of his George's fights and at times he'll try to coast a little and Tommy Brooks will tell him to stop getting complacent. He's gotten much better at fighting consistently now that he's a light-heavyweight and not an undersized cruiserweight.SlimTim, journeyman??? But yeah, I have no idea why people are against the idea of calling out the top contenders. It's not like Johnson is a champion, he's the guy you have to go through to get to the champion. Then again, if George beats him they'll just say he was past his prime.Comment
