As expected, the October 4 opponent for WBO super bantamweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez (22-0, 20KOs) has changed. Originally, Lopez was going to face undefeated Canadian Olivier Lontchi, but after Lontchi struggled and battled to a draw with unknown Eduardo Garcia on the Steve Molitor undercard last Friday at Casino Rama in Ontario - he was ruled out for Lopez's first defense of the title. Juanma tried getting fights with the best in his divison but couldnt. Regardless he just won the title, and hes already looking at a match against Israel Vazquez in 09. Let the guy defend his title once in front of his people becfore callling him a "chump" and hating on him.
Some of you guys are ridiculous.Comment

what a joke
If lopez wants an easy fight for his first defense then fine.. But don't go and find some taxi cab driver from mexico and call a Mexican vs puerto rican rivalry!... This a complete mismatch to be acting like it's another margarito/cotto..... When he fights rafael marquez or israel vazquez then it's worthy of that headline but c'mon I'm just being honest here.. I predict that lopez knocks him out in 2-3 rnds!Comment
