Rocky Juarez and Juan Diaz info

i just got back from savanah boxing gym and witnessed the sparring sessions of juarez and diaz. So far Juarez ain't looking good, he's slow he can't throw many punches anymore...just awful! I guess the long lay offs have taken their toll on him, i dont expect him to win his fight against Barrios...sorry! Im from Houston and i sure as hell would love to see rocky win but it's unlikely from what I witnessed. The only credit i give him is that his sparring partners are a little bigger than he is, but speed is not even his edge against them, he's pretty much lost the desire from what I see.

As for Diaz he's his regular self nothing new. He's alot hungrier now but there has not been any change whatsoever. His fight strategy is the same as always. come forward and throw alot of punches.

i'll post anything else as it comes...see yall at the Toyota Center for the fight.

thanks for the update. katsidis-diaz is gonna be sick- foy material! im excited...

i always wanted to be a rocky juarez fan since before the first mab fight. i was eager to see him perform against barrera and thought he was doing pretty damn well (though i thought mab won in the end and was happy he got the decision in the end). since then, rocky has looked like dog****. he has gone from promising prospect to something that is painful to watch. i'd be content never seeing him or jeff lacy fight ever again....

Man I have trained some fighters there with Big Sed. Rocky always looks like that, but for some reason fight night he comes out and looks good. I agree with you that he looks sluggish and all because he has looked like that before.

I havent been there in a while, but who do they have Juan training with. Lupe? Lenard? He is alot hungrier and I think he wins this fight.

SouthEast Houston but my cousins train in NawfSide

Yeah, Juarez kinda slipped ever since signing with Golden Boy promotions it's like once they inked him he got his check, cashed it and didnt care about boxing as much. You never know...he may pull an upset, afterall he will be at his hometown. Also he had his surgeries done and came out well so the double vision he had is gone, all better now so we'll see if that helps him a little.
Diaz-Katsidis will be a hell of a fight though...wont fail to entertain.

Do you know who they are sparring with. I think that Lupe would fit
the style that Katsidis would bring.
