Calderon vs. Cazares II: The Post-Fight Report Card

By Cliff Rold - Fights that end on cuts pretty much suck.

Let’s not beat around the bush. They just do. The best thing to be said for most such unfortunate endings is “good while it lasted” which is just another way of saying “that ending ruined it.” Think about it…Julio Cesar Chavez-Frankie Randall II…Lennox Lewis-Vitali Klitschko II…the drama blood can provide instead drained the drama out of unfolding classics. nobody expect the fight to be an excited one. calderon is never an exciting fighter, so is cazares.

cazares is too slow for calderon. cazares don't have the legs to catch calderon. he was not able to exploit the height and reach advantage. he should forget fighting calderon in the future because he will not win even if they will fight twelve times a year.

he should try his luck in the flyweight or bantamweight division.
