I'm sure many will already have said this, but Pacquiao's advantages are basically his speed, dynamism, aggression and workrate. ODLH is quite old and has that stiff mechanical style so its quite easy to envisage Pac bouncing around him throwing tons of punches and really unsettling him.

Unfortunately, one of the biggest advantages Pac usually has, which makes his style work, is his power, and thats not going to be as much of a factor here. De La Hoya, having boxed as high as MW, really should be able to live with LW power, even when its exceptional.

Another thing is that De La Hoya for all his age and stiff mechanicalness, really has the kind of style Pac doesn't like. We've seen Morales and Marquez both negate a lot of Pacs game simply by sticking him with the jab when he tries to come in, and De La Hoya's size and height mean his will be even more effective and powerful then theirs could ever be. If Pac can't get at you, then he can't beat you and this is where his problem is going to lie, he'll really feel it every time Oscar sticks him.

I actually don't completely rule out a Pacman victory, he's a fighting machine, but in the end its hard to look past Oscar making his natural advantages tell.
