Lamon Brewster Knocks Danny Batchelder Out in Five

The first boxing promotion of Lamon Brewster's Relentless Events was a resounding success, featuring a night full of devastating knockouts and musical performances from acclaimed artists Yung Joc and Keri Hilson. Not to mention "The Return" of the former WBO heavyweight champion Brewster himself. The card took place in Cincinnati, Ohio's Cincinnati Gardens and drew a near capacity crowd. The event was promoted in association with Colin Bates' C'Believe and Andrew Williams' R&R Promotions.

I think you're thinking of Jeremy Bates.

My bad. I get them confused sometimes, Batchelder is the guy that lost to Toney. Thanks for correcting me.

I wouldn't mind Lamont Brewster vs David Haye in Nov, but we all know haye would TALK his way out of that fight....He probably will face Rahman cause he will be like he knocked out the former undisputed champion of the world and this and that....Rahman would just quit in the ring atleast brewster or toney would never make excuses and just fight win or lose...

Brewster could fight ME and nearly sell out Conseco Fieldhouse. Look for a Batchelder-quality opponent for Lamon....

I can't see Haye fighting anyone much better first time out, though to keep his alphabet rankings up, he might fight someone in the 10-15 range by the WBO or the other one ranking him....

              Sparkman vs Pryor jr.

Sammy Sparkman did not pull out at the weigh in they never bought the plane tickets for Sparkman or his camp. At 1pm on saturday Andrew Farmer called and wanted Sparkman and his camp to get on a plane fly in get off the plane weigh in and fight. And for pulling out at the weigh in sparkman pulled out at 10pm friday night when there were still no travel plans at that point sparkman and his camp were tired of waiting they had been packed since thursday waiting on travel plans that were never made. They never wanted the fight if they did Sammy Sparkman would have been there

It's apparently in Haye's contract that he has to fight top ten opponents at heavy from his debut on. (Though which top ten? Could be top ten WBO).

Admittedly, you could go through quite a few top ten guys without facing anyone decent, but Haye has never shown himself to be someone who doesn't thrive on challenges and wants to fight the best (which is why the guy you were replying to puzzled me by saying he'd talk himself out of the Brewster fight).

Incidentally, he's listed on www.bet365.com as being against Maskaev. Not a GREAT opponent at this stage in his career, but for a debut proper at the weight I think that's pretty good. This guy's only one fight off being a titlist, remember. And if Haye does him in double quick time (stylistically it's made for him, isn't it?) then it'll be a nice showcase for him pre-Christmas.

Remember - Haye is the biggest dish in the division right now. And I include Danny Williams in that.

It's official. Aaron Pryor jr. ducked Sammy Sparkman. For what reason, I don't know.
Maybe they figured Craig was a bigger name, being from Cinncinnatti, and an Olympian and all who goes down easy enough.

Brewster's left hook on Haye's chin. Yowsah.

For all Brewster's technical deficiences, he has one thing, huge huge power.
a Haye fight would be cool if he came out on fire like against Golota.

Heaven help the first one to get hit.
