Gamboa isnt black though. And he is overrated. Theres people that think he's ready 4 a title shot but dude keeps his hands way too low and doesnt have a very good chin.
He'd be in 4 a long night against someone with good chin and power
racism is a prejudice against any race not of your own...
anyways I agree they are rushing him to be the next great star a lil too soon, due to several reasons
1. Around 250 amateur fights, Gold medalist in 2004...you know how it goes with medal winners
2. At featherweight he's in a seemingly weak division with only a few stand out fighters...Chris John, Steve Luevano, Jorge Linares (basically the title holders themselves)
3. Promoters/Managers are banking on the next multi-weight champ...a guy who can win title(s) at featherweight and eventually take over higher weights
I hate that line of thinking and believe a fighter should not go into a title fight till after at least 15 professional fights...there's just too many types of fighters out there to throw a fighter in the ring with the top tier just to make money
His skill is rated where it should be.....but even I'm not sure he's ready for a title shot
Everyone mentions that. Everyone has said he just needs defense.
Well its an obvious glaring flaw that wouldnt be allowed to fly with the elite. But he's being positioned 4 a title shot early next year. And he's had 9 pro fights to fix the problem but no improvement whatsover.
Hypejob Haye
Paul Williams
Zab Judah
Paulie Malignaggi
Haye is overated as for the rest your wrong. No one is overating Paulie...Zab can be a little overated but those are just brooklyn kids. As for Paul, you can debate that he is the best WW so he can't be overated. By the way, have you heard anyone say Pual would beat prime Tito or DLH or Thomas Hearns?? Nope don't think so...its best you add Margarito to the list.
