Lamon Brewster wins by fifth round KO

It was a right hand over the top, Batchelder couldn't beat the count. Batchelder was probably ahead at the time but one right ended that.

How did Brewster's timing and reflexes look? Do you think he can improve off this fight and be a contender again?

He was laid back and appeared to coast a bit until the fifth round when he turned the jets on. Batchelder was using his jab well and staying out of harm's way but I liked that Brewster was doing a better job of staying low and not standing straight up. He gave himself a 1 out of 10 but said he's glad he shook off the rust. He also came in heavy at 237.

Brewster was kind of flabby and soft looking, but that was to be expected after not fighting for over a year.

He won't likely wait a year until his next fight.

Did it really look like a dive? What happened?

It didn't look like a dive, basically the first right hand that Brewster landed flush knocked Batchelder down.

I just got off the phone with Brewster, he says he'll be back on November 11 in his hometown of Indianapolis.
