true, but tony's huge size would help alot imo. he can cut off the ring in 1/2 as many steps as it would take hatton. it would be an interesting fight to see.

Rito's size would defintely help but i dont like the way he was trying to cut off the ring against cotto, He look lost early on in that fight and was only able to caught cotto when cotto slowed down but its still a very intriguing fight that i wouldnt mind seeing too.

I just think Mayweather would be too quick for Cotto. I'm not going to say I wasn't impressed by Cotto against Margarito because I was. He boxed tremendously well for 6 rounds but I just didn't see any way in which he would seriously hurt a guy with the speed and defensive capabilities of Mayweather, and that is what you would need to do beat him. I definately think Miguel gives Floyd the tougher fight of the two though, Margarito just wouldn't be able to land on Floyd and as he relies on cumulative damage rather than one-shot power this leaves him with pretty much no chance IMO.

I don't know, Marg is like a machine, straight up. I agree, it might just be Mayweather boxing Margs ears off but I think Mayweather dominates Cotto.

His speed would be too much for either but I think that Marg would be more willing to walk him down and not fear his power, were as Cotto might try and box him and not be able to take the big shots as well.

                Who's big shots?...

Margarito I believe has much more one-shot power than Mayweather..and Cotto took huge shots from Margarito..and didn't go down easy..

I think Mayweather wins a landslide decision on Margarito unless margarito pins him in a corner and gets lucky wit a loopin right cross right to May's Jaw...Very doubtful tho..

And Cotto-Mayweather would be alot more exciting for the simple fact that Cotto fights great going foward..and he has decent hand and foot speed to somewhat keep up with Mayweather..

Which would make that fight a toss-up IMO..

Neither cotto nor rito would fear PBF's power, His style isnt about power but speed, You need speed to beat PBF and only cotto comes close in that department not rito...I still cant get over HOW slow rito is in the ring against Cotto...especially the first 5 rounds.

Actually, Cotto didn't take any clean shots from Marg until about the 7th round and even then they were far and few between.....rewatch the fight.

Cotto was doing an incredible job out boxing Marg and his defense was superb, I think Cotto fought almost the perfect fight. Marg was hurting Cotto with body shots and wearing him down.

Style wise I agree, Cotto vs Mayweather looks better. The only reason I think that Marg might have a better chance of beating him is because Marg would just walk through Mayweather's punches and just chase him around for 12 rounds. I'm not saying he would win, I'm just saying that he would be more aggressive and at least try and run him down.

Neither Cotto or Marg could even come close to keep up with the speed of Mayweather. DLH who is much faster than either was out boxed by Mayweather.

Actually, speed = power to some extent. Don't think that Mayweather has no power because thats just not true. He just doesn't have the power he used to have now at WW. Mayweather was KOing people all the way until he moved up to WW and still managed to KO Hatton, something people never thought possible.

Marg takes a much, much better punch that Cotto, in that there's no argument. I just think Marg wouldn't be worried about getting hit, where as Cotto would think about just moving forward after getting hit flush with a big right hand, which would happen. Because if Mosley and Zab can touch Cotto, then Mayweather definitely can.

Believe me, Cotto cannot box with Mayweather, not even close. The only way to beat Mayweather is find someone who is faster and a better boxer than he is and that person doesn't exist OR, find someone who is willing to walk through mayweather, take his biggest shots and just over power him.
