None of the guys Tsyon beat before Spinks could win a belt today.

It's easy to look at twelve fights over forty years and then compare them all favorably to a Saturday stream between two fringe contenders. That's all you're doing.

And again, no you don't know your ****.
Valuev has a title 3 fights ago (4 if you count the one just gone past) He's a "top heavyweight" exactly who else is there? Skelton? Povetkin? Golata?

Tyrell, Smith, Thomas all before Spinks and including Spinks could beat Peter and Ibragimov and Maskaev all titlest recently. Frank Bruno would proberbly fair much better in this era as well. Ali's has subpar opponents but he had some worth opposition as well. There isn't anyone worth there salt in this heavyweight division yet. Povetkin is a prospect, Haye is unknown, Chagaev still hasn't been tested. Wlad is the only solid fighter that we know could hang with the top guys.

        Heavyweight >>> Cruiserweight
Just to be clear it's not a Wlad hate thread. Wlad is stuck in a division with no real competition apart from Haye and Chagaev both of which are unknown. Peter is too unskilled. Wlad is stuck in a bad division with nowhere to move.

It was better than that awful Chagaev-Skelton fight. That's about the best that I can say about it.

LOL. But with his safety first style now he can make a contest out of it.

Pretty sure Skelton would do the samething to Ali.

True, some fighters just bring out the worst in everyone they fight. On a higher level it would be Hopkins.

He has the biggest head I've ever seen. I've heard the Russian army used to hold him upside down and use it to break up concrete.

He has a massive thick head.

Another great advertisement for HW boxing tonight, almost as good as Iggy-Klit or Skelton-Chagev, we're spoiled.
