What if the next fight is for less than 4 mil? Anything thing can happen. Margs could lose to Clottey and Williams can lose...The thing is Margs can lose to Williams again, and still make money. Shane did, Dlh did, many fighters have.

I think he beats Clottey for a fairly decent pay day then either goes for Mosley (as you say) which would probably be for a lot more and if he were to take Williams and the 4m now and lose that would ruin the Mosley fights chances of happening (or being so big) then he can always go back and look at Williams after Mosley if he wants.

That's true, anyone can question any fighter, but I just think it's hypocritical for people to criticize one guy when they are not willing to criticize the other.

I would prefer to see Margarito-Williams, but Bhopreign started a thread before saying that Clottey deserved to win the first fight, now he is criticizing Marg for fighting him again, and he has no problem with Mayweather not taking the hardest fight in the past. That is biased IMO.

I have pet points on Clottey, so I cannot criticize Marg too much because he is taking a fight that I think he will lose.

Left, I'm not getting on you. I don't ever want fighters to fight for the Ring mag title. It is phony, and the title is fake to me. Long before Dlh bought the magazine or part of it, they wanted to involve themselves in the sport by inventing this Ring title. We need true world rankings or we will only get to see the bull we are watching now which is money fights.

i like the ring. no matter who owns it. no one fights for the ring belt they just award it. rankings can't be influenced by sanctioning fees or bribes either. ring has no interest in what fights will make the most money. (unless you're a conspiracy theorist that thinks GBP will influence the ring editors. which i am not one of)

I'm not advocating that fight, just trying to look at how Marg might see a lot more than 4m coming his way if he holds tight and doesn't risk it all against Williams straight away.

I do hope the fight happens some time next year and I think it will.
