That sucks, I was hoping to make a little coin on Vitali. Given that no one has ever come back from a 4 year layoff to win a major world title without a single tuneup fight, I pictured him as about a 4 or 5 to 1 dog. I think the odds have to change between now and the fight.
Shocker: Vitali Klitschko the Betting Favorite over Sam Peter

There is probably some inside info about how his camp is going, if I had to guess. Rarely does the sportsbetting industry make a bad call initially. Odds can change if there is heavy betting on the underdog, though. That sucks, I was hoping to make a little coin on Vitali. Klitschko's injuries have been 2 out of 37 fights when he was beating each guy like a carpet. The injury (singular) which caused him to retire was a serious knee injury caused when his feet became entangled with his sparring aprtners and he fell heavily, snapping the anterior cruciate ligament, plus a few additional meniscus tears. This doesn't bode well for Peter. He's giving up too much size and both Klitschko's keep you on the end of hard straight punches. Vitali's only knock is that he's injury prone, other than that, he's the tougher brother. I don't think Sam will have the resolve to get and stay inside once Vitali clocks him good the first time.
The causes of the original postponement against Rahman, was actually incorrectly diagnosed as a thigh muscle tear, because he felt the pain in his thigh. It took time, and a couple of tentative dates, to find out that it was actually a spinal bony outgrowth which was pressing on the branch of the sciatic nerve which went to his thigh. This was a natural bodily event, and not an injury at all. He had an op which snipped away the bony spur. His cancellation against McCline WAS an injury, I believe a disc injury, which needed an op. I've had this myself and know that although the disc is in the mif=ddle of your back, the pain is in the leg. I'm sure other readers have had this too.Comment

he he hee! sams been looking like a pathetic oaff last fights. In a surprising development, Vitali Klitschko, who hasn't fought in nearly four years, has opened in some sportsbooks as the betting favorite over WBC heavyweight titlist Samuel Peter. [details]
i get the feeling he's having training problems. he's regressed .
have thought that at any other time in hvwt history he'd be considered 2nd tier.
at one time vitali was considered a whining weak top tier.
i think vitali should plan on getting extra medical insurance just incase he trips at the weigh-in.
peter could get dangerously desparate early i feel and make vitali give up.Comment

peter got rocked and floored in his recent fights.
i believe it was jameel mccline who althought is one big asss dude is not known for having KO power.
so imagine what dr. ironfist will do to peters chin?Comment

I think the reason some people are giving peter a chance is because of the 4 year gap, injuries and inactivity on vitali's side other than that Vitali is too strong for peter to trouble.Comment
What I find shocking, is that some people give Sam Peter a chance.
