Seriously....I agree with you man..The thread was pretty good while it lasted...We still can keep it going though! (or try to)
The clown that writes in blue will not allow decent discussion, besides I have some time to kill and making him look ******ed will fill that time slot.

The thread is interesting, because people that come to a message board for boxing are the hardest of the hardcore boxing fans. Some people do not really look at it like that though, but this represents just a small precent of people that watch atleast some boxing.

          My boxing knowledge yours.

          DLH>>>Floyd Mayweather.

          according to your logic.
So I am racist now good one. I just said you hang off Margarito's scrotum anyone of any race creed or color could do that. I think you are an idiot and once again idiocy knows no race creed or color.

Let me bring it up again you think words and things that did not happean are more important that things that actually took place in the ring, that is not an informed opinion. The 13 year old crying girl look is a good look on a man that claims to have watched boxing for 25 years, real hardcore.

I know thats the truth...I know when I come on-line I want to find out the latest on the sport I love...Who's fighting who....Who's the next big thing...ect....As far as the casual fan is concerned they're only looking to see the hottest star in the sport rather than just look at from our perspective (us hardcore fans & boixng fanatics) I agree with the thread starter...This board needs a dose of reality...While some of us hardcore fans might now want to see a fight (Pacman vs De la Hoya) The casual fan just might have heard of Pacman or De la Hoya and they want to check him out. So casual fans kinda helps us out in many ways IMO!

in regards to casual fans I think, at least IMO, are the ones to convert them not necessarily the fights all the time. As much as boxing fans would like to see Corrales Castillo I every fight we know it's rare but there are still aspects of this sport to get hooked on. Even with MMA I do understand why people are into it even when there are a lot of clunkers in between.

I tend to think as the hardcore and now part of the last few hardcore we can get very exclusive with the sport and scoff at those who take an interest in it when something in our sport crosses over into the mainstream. We all know DLH Manny is that type of event so rather than scoff at those who want to see it we should allow them to THEN give them reason why they should stay tuned in. I always felt that mega events like this is where the promoter should do their best work. In all honestly you can put on greet PPVs that please the hardcore but with an event like this is where your work should be.

why? because it's a big infomercial for the sport. With DLH Mayweather we got crap and IMO it was wrong for them to do that. They fed us Juarez and nobodies. They should have shown the casual fan better and rewarded the hardcore fan with fights we could get behing

I remember for Hopkins DLH they did a smart thing in showing both Abner Mares and Vincente Escobedo PRIOR to the actual PPV. That was a good move as it intro'd GBP's newest fighters to the scene.

The more demand there is for boxing the better, and events like this fuel the sport for the fights that hardcore fans really want to see. I always like when fighters, any fighters get paid they deserve everything they get (much more in many cases). Sometimes I find it funny when Bob Arum loses money though, possibly Don King but other then that I want everyone in the business of boxing to prosper.

I have no ill will for this fight though I will watch it, probably at a party. Hopefully the undercard has a good fight or two.

                    I think thats a misnomer

casual fans only pay attention to the main event but will have the card on.

you strategically put in fighters you think will be entertaining and mix it with a hardcore fan or two you have the makings of a way to sell the sport
