DLH had a chance to step up and show why he was good for boxing and hasn't become just an "entertainer" and "businessman". Instead, he proved what many had thought. After mentioning Williams, it looked like DLH was going to do what he always has. Step up, and fight one of the best that is unknown or not a big draw, because that was the real challenge (Mosley, Quartey, Hopkins etc.). Instead he's fighting barely a LW, when he himself can barely make 147. I love boxing so I'll watch it, but I won't pay for it. What a joke.
He could've AT LEAST taken on Margarito, a strong opponent with a big name. Instead, he takes on Pac who is a big name but only drew 200k vs Diaz. People like this are destroying boxing. Same with my man Hopkins fighting Pavlik. Yes he has a chance, but as a HUGE Hopkins fan, I am tired of seeing him perform when he's clearly not what he once was. Hopkins in his prime would manhandle Calzaghe, instead he lost a close decision (which I thought he won or was that close) and is embarrassing his legacy with his no-offense outputs. Pavlik could've fought Williams too.
It's time for boxing to be like mma, have the best fight the best. Otherwise, it will continue to use ground as far as the non-hardcore mainstream boxing fan perspective is concerned.
