It is no too difficult to learn the theory of check hooks, but they are somewhat difficult to put into practise. Ricky Hatton is wide open to a check hook yet the only opponent to nail him with it is Floyd Mayweather.

yes he did...i went to vegas for that fight and it was a joy wtching roy school ruiz...i think it was nady that reffed the fight...kudos to him in not allowing the fight turn into a slow dance

floyds/roys "check/checkmate hook" is okay.

i rank it up there with ali's "anchor" punch.

nothing compares to tua's "fried banana swing" though.

the "fried banana swing" almost killed ruiz.

roy usually used a left hook lead, not a fade hook. he did use them at times though... floyds was pretty much the picture perfect fade hook.
