what makes you think the same couldnt be applied to calzaghe,joe was far from his best that night that i can say,hopkins looked the same old same old to me!!

I just think Joe at his best (Lacy, Kessler) wouldn't beat Hopkins at his best (Taylor, Trinidad, Tarver).

Joe has come in to his own over the past two years where as Bernard has slowed down dramatically. It pointless arguing because neither of us can ever be proven to be right. It's just my opinion on the matter.

Well BHop was still the man at MW at the time plus he was much fresher. He has slowed down significantly since then.

Hopkins has slowed down ALOT since the Taylor fight. Watch the 2 Taylor fights then watch the Calzaghe fight. He's twice as slow and throws half as many punches.

If Bernard would have fought Joe around the same time he fought Taylor he would have won.

I'm not denying Joe is good, but if he would have fought Hopkins in 2005 instead of 2008 he would of lost, simple as that.
