Forrest capable of pulling a Williams/Quintana II?

I am still shocked in how Vernon just let the first fight with Mora slip away. I think he is the better fighter, but hard to argue that when Mora won.

Do you think Vernon still has the tools to completely own this fight (be it skills to a decision or knockout)?

I was suprised he didnt murder that can the first fight. To me, if he loses the rematch, he's done.

      It's definitely possible.

He certainly has the tools to beat mora the only question that remains is if he is still capable of using those tools effectively, i.e is he completely past his prime?

I think it's possible. I mean if Forrest was able to hurt Shane Mosley of all people, I think he's capable if he lands the right shot. It's unlikely though because Mora has too good of defense (?).

I think the first fight between them gave some pretty clear indications that Vernon is shot. He looked very bad, extremely lathergic and he gassed very very quickly. To be honest I expect the second fight to head is a pretty similar direction, Vernon would really surprise me if he managed to come back and win that fight.

Even if Vernon wins the rematch it won't be by ownage. He ain't got enough left for that. In the first fight Mora didn't do anything great he just outworked Vernon's dead ass. He was walkin around like a slug not throwin ****. I ain't even sure he'll win the 2nd fight period. He looked pretty bad.

Williams was in his prime while Forrest is well past his. I see this fight going the distance for sure no matter who wins. If Vernon wins it will be close.

Mora sucks. I'm sorry, but he just sucks. Forrest lost that fight more than Mora won it.

It looked like Vernon was shot, it really did. I've never seen a guy slip that much between fights. He just destroyed that Italian guy in December and looked the same as always

I think that Mora is too busy for Forrest at this pointin his career. Although, Forrest is cagey and might be able to hurt Sergio at some point. Forrest is a solid finisher too even at this point!
