vargas will never be overrated. He accomplished more before he turned 23, 24 than most boxer ever achieve in thier whole career. He gave tito and oscar all they can handle at a very young age. He was mis-managed and brought up to fast. Vargas and tyson were the two most exciting people in boxing at the time and they had a big fanbase.

Vargas is not overated and Rog don't act like this would be an easy fight for Vargas. This isn't an easy fight for any of them and I think I'll lean towards Vargas. Not sure...will have to think about it

Well since a PRIME Vargas was at 54, I think that be the weight they'd be at, I think P-Will might be stronger at 54 and not as weight drained but I'd see Vargas taken it. This cat had all the tools it's 2 bad he was rushed at such a young age because he could have truly been an ATG if managed properly. People forget just how good he was, he easily beat Quartey which DLH struggled with just 6 months prior, beat W Wright (even if it was close) beat up R Marquez and then gave Tito HELL all before he was 23. Vargas takes a UD SAY 116-112.

Vargas UD. Williams wouldn't have enough pop to keep Vargas off him. vargas is a big guy and would be physically too strong for P-Will, although I don't think he'd stop Paul.

real good matchup... hmm. I'd like to think that Paul's height and reach advantages would help him win but I'm not so sure. A prime Vargas was a helluva fighter and his only flaw really was that he chose to go to war at times when it didn't benefit him (Trinidad). If he had fought smarter and wasn't in so many wars, he would be a lot more highly regarded as a skilled boxer instead of a slugger. That said this fight is a bit of a toss up for me. If Vargas boxed smartly and worked his way in and out I don't think there's much PW could do but try and land a big shot and get him to brawl and then hope that he can keep landing big enough shots from the outside to seriously hurt him. Prolly would go with Fernando if he kept his head.
