Great fight. My personal fave is deffo Gatti Ward 1, round 9 in that bout was extraordinary imo (3rd fight was special too)

MAB v Morales 1, Naz v Kevin Kelly (pure excitement factor) Vasquez v Marquez 1,2 & 3, Chi v Brodie 1, Monshipour v Sithchatchawal and Burton v Ward are all great fights too.

Some older ones are Basilio-DeMarco 1 & 2, great fights, both fights were like Ward-Gatti 1.

Tengoshi mentioned Limon-Chacon 4, one of the best slugfests ever.

corrales-castillo I, for me, was the greatest fight in my life time, and having met Diego prior to the fight, months before, and seeing the fight live, it was a truely unexpected ending that put that fight into the all time great category of boxing history. compairing fights of this magnitude is always going to boil down to personal attachments and personal sentiment, it could be anything, the bottom line here is, fights like the corrales-castillo, gatti-ward, etc, barerra-morales, all reach a certain place, a top tier category all to themselves. it's a great thing to witness and be a part of, of remebering and sharing about boxing and whats good about it. but for me, corrales-castillo was IT! for me, that will be a tough act to follow for quite some time, until then i watch all of boxing to find another one.

when comparing barrera vs morales, they lack the punching power, that made the difference!

Freitas-Barrios is highly underrated here. Very close fight, Freitas more skilled, Barrios moving foward with his awkward style. Both hurt and down twice and a miracle punch that turned the fight.

I see your point, but I don't think skills don't have to be abandoned. You just have two fighters who won't take a step backward. These two did not take a step backward. They fought tooth and nail inside a phonebooth until the other was done.
