    Camacho-Haugen I?

Someone give me the story on this fight. I know Camacho lost a point in the 12th. I've heard it was for not touching gloves. I also heard that he hit instead of touched gloves.

Additionally, I heard the decision was awful.

    Someone enlighten me please.

Camacho lost the decision (and his undefeated record) because he did not touch the gloves at the beginning of the 12th round.

    The scorecards:
    114-113 Haugen, 114-112 Camacho, 114-112 Haugen

    EDIT: Video added.

      From boxrec?

The encyclopedia page says that he hit him instead of touching gloves.

Are you speaking from personal recollection?

Camacho did indeed try to hit Haugen when the referee tried to make them touch gloves at the start of the round. I put the video up now so you can see it for yourself.

Where is it? I have never used the video library on this site.

Was the decision good, a little shady, or really bad?

            Does this work?

It's supposed to an embedded video from another site (rounds 11-12 of Haugen - Camacho I).

Here's the site I found it from.

Camacho ran out of gas. I rarely score fights but I can only agree with the announcers, Camacho's lack of preparation and the point deduction at the end made the fight closer than it should've been.

Not the worst decision I've seen but Haugen did benefit from being the hometown fighter. People wanted to see him win the fight.

i saw both fights and thought camacho won both
the second fight also went to the decision and camacho didnt stay to hear the judges cards he just went back to the dressing room raising his hands and celebrating, he was probably expecting to get robbed again

God what a badass. I love me some Macho Camacho.

Like I said in another thread, his entrance against Chavez was the greatest thing I have witnessed in my entire life.
