Who is going to be the next era's elite fighters?

A lot of people have high hopes for Gamboa and Linares.

I think Guzman will probably be there considering how good he looks every time he fights. The way he took Soto apart was just ****ing nuts, considering how good Soto is.

What about these Peterson brothers? I've looked at the majority of the scorecards from their previous matches, and it doesn't really look like they lose rounds... ever. How good will they be?

Nonito Donaire is pretty young... do you think he has it in him to beat Christian Mijares and cross over into elite?

Who else do you want to add to that list? I think people like Kelly Pavlik needn't apply, because they have already broken through (beating the lineal, unified champ in your division definitely makes you a top echelon fighter). I'm looking for the guys who haven't really shown they are on top of the world yet, but a lot of people think they will be.

Maybe Vasyl Lomachenko if he turns pro. He obviously has the talent.

Lets not forget Andre Berto. I think Gamboa and Berto are destined to fight in 5 years. Gamboa will want to move up.

I'm looking out Andre Dirrell and Danny Jacobs as well.

As Tunney said, Lomachenko has talent, I'll be very interested if he turns pro.

Possibly Timothy Bradley he is a champ and is only 24, Angulo and Kirkland are both young and in a soft division which is good to build up a solid record. Berto is another young champ, Khan and Gamboa both look to have bright futures. Chad Dawson is only 26 and could have a long future at the top of 175. Heavyweights Arreola possibly but I do not think he has a style for longevity.

            **** i forgot Linares

That would be a great fight, but Gamboa is currently at 126, 5'5". Berto is 5'8 1/2" at 147. Too much size differential there.

Yes but I definitely think that Gamboa will not want to stay at 126.
