De Gale GB beats Emilio Correa Cuba

Great win over the talented Cuban.

Emilio Correa was lucky to get away with biting De Gale but great win for the Brit.

I just saw the fight. My first AM-fight for years. Man it was bad. I cannot believe Degale got away with all the holding. Only one point deducted is beyond me. The holding spoiled the fight. If this is the standard of present AM-fighting, I think the future for the pro-game looks grimmer.

If james has a promoter unlike audley harrison, he will do fine. I think if audley had a promoter instead of self-promotion, he would of been fine himself. James has an amazing style, I love him. Might replace my ricky hatton avatar with him.

Also it was the CUBAN doing the holding, james usually picks his shots and runs away, but the cuban kept holding him and bit him at one point. So James was prob thinking, if hes gonna be rough, so am I.

Seriously mate, I'm a Brit but not a bias one. The fight wasn't the best but dont blame DeGale, 85% of the holding, throwing and biting was done by the Cuban.

DeGale is a slick fighter who is great to watch (see his other fights in the Olympics), the Cuban tried to make it a slugfest and lost his cool.

Disappointing that the fight became scrappy but DeGale was still immpressive.

Lets hope he keeps his feet on the ground and takes it slow.

Good fight 3rd round was it, went pretty bad for De gale.

The cuban did most the holding, but De gale just let him get on with it - the right tactic in my opinion. It's his time he's wasting not De Gale's

                  .
