The guy has 1 loss, and to one of the most dangerous fighter in the WW Division who is bigger and Cotto is overrated now.

Cotto can still beat pretty much any Welter out there including Margarito in a rematch

In an answer, NO, he had a great run before being stopped and he fought until he couldnt fight anymore. Cotto could contend with anyone at this weight, if he couldnt, then hed be overrated, but he can, therefore hes not.

Floyd could also have beaten Hearns because Hagler could take a straight right from Hearns & he was still standing, Floyd could easily slip those right hands all night long. And Hagler, he has no chance. Floyd would outbox him because Hearns could too.

Floyd will make the Top 5 ATG, maybe even get first place....
you comparing Cotto to Leonard, Hearns, Hagler and Sugar Ray?

            point in case really

He wasn't overrated, he lost to the better man that night. There are those who deserve the overrated status because the main view of them is what the promoters want you to see instead of what's there but IMO, Cotto was not one of these fighters. He got beat by a better fighter on that night by Margs.

He's not overrated, he just didnt follow through with his fight plan. It's was clear Cotto was the better boxer. He just didnt pace himself right that night.

Cotto is not overrated. Its exactly what the other guy posted. If he would have stuck with his game plan and boxed, the turn out might have been different. Cotto fought quality fighters; Mosley, Judah, Paulie etc. He just lost to the better man. Its just crazy how quick people will shyt on him for 1 loss. Dude will come back and silence the critics. Thats what CHAMPIONS do...
