    RJJ Vs. Sam Peter?

Sorry, but this is the first I heard he was wanting Peter after his Calzaghe fight (if he wins). I'm sure most of you have already hear this, and I'm sorry for bringing it up again, but I have to ask....why haven't there been maybe a billion threads about this yet? I haven't seen a single one.

There were a bunch of threads discussing this topic.

I personally think Jones can potshot to a comfortable UD and will do very good if he doesnt get caught flush with anything ******. He also needs to protect the back of his head from the trademark Peter rabbit punch

If they fight, Peter will crush Jones like a g****.

providing Jones can avoid getting hit for 12 rounds.. he can win this fight..

That being said.. Peter by KO in round 2

jones would get knocked out. just one glancing shot on the back of his little head and he's sleeping and retiring for good

Sorry to bring it up again, if it was hashed over pretty good.

It just struck me as funny because honestly....I don't think Roy has much of a chance at beating Calzaghe, but I think he'd be a 2/1 favorite over Peter in my own personal oddmaker machine head. Peter doesn't have the speed to catch Roy, doesn't have the stamina to outlast him, and doesn't have the skills to shut him down. I'd pick Roy by a very comfortable UD over Peter.

Do you really think he could go 12 rounds and not get hit at least once?? because that is all it would take...

People say Jones is shot.. but they are only partially right..

Jones was so fast and skilled.. that even if he has slowed down a little.. he is still head and shoulders above most fighters his weight range..

                NO.. His Skills are Fine..

He is shot because he has suffered a concussion when Tarver knocked him out.. and it didnt heal properly by the time Johnson knocked him out which just compounded it...

His skills seemed to suffer because he had a serious head injury which can affect everything from your sense of reason to your motor skills.. and let's face it, Jones said some pretty far out things for a while there.. and his skills did seem more diminished than they do now..

Now Concussions never really heal in that.. and once you have had one.. it doesnt take much to knock you silly again..

SO Jones should avoid the Heavyweights.. and the heavy hitters in his weight range..

Fighting Calzaghe is a fight he can actually win due to Calzaghes slaps.. he might get cut up.. but I doubt JC is going to knock him out.. even with his SHOT head..

I think he'll catch a few glancing shots from Peter, but he'll see them coming and will be able to move with them, so yeah, I guess for the most part I do think he can avoid any big shots for 12 rounds. Peter ain't no boxing genius, he's pretty one dimensional, come forward, jab, jab, right hand, finishing left hook (sometimes), rinse, repeat...not saying he's not OK in the ring, just nothing spectacular. And he gets frustrated easily, which makes him spend energy faster, and I think Jones might just end the fight with more in his gas tank than Peter. And he should be able to potshot him all night without even working hard. Roy is still quicker than greased lightning on a hot summer night, can throw combinations from all angles while slipping punches, can counter when there ain't no holes to counter through, and has ring smarts that make Peter look like a ******.

Yep, I do think that Roy can beat Peter, but I don't think he can get past Calzaghe.

If John Ruiz could land.. Sam Peter will land.. I am no fan of Sam Peter.. I am only concerned for RJJ's health.. Peter will knock him out.. no matter how much RJJ can still dance..
