Yeah that is what I figured, but you never know...Joppy and Taylor are both hbo fighters (I know taylor is) but Joppy isnt exclusive but I dont recall him fighting on showtime in the past few years....

Just curious, What do you think of Klitschko vs Williams buyrate? Williams vs Tyson only did 140k buys do you think this could be worst??? I think so and expect under 100k personally and consider it a big flop...140 thousand of those buys in july was for tyson not for williams..I cant see this doing any better personally especially since it doesnt hold a high marquee name. Just because williams beat tyson doesnt mean he gets his drawing power.....

I think it is Absurd and HBO will find that out, The undercard sucks (well hell every undercard for the few past years have ******)

This will do worse than Williams vs. Tyson. By a lot. Maybe less than 100K

Showtime doesn't "have" fighters anymore, unless there's some old contracts still waiting to be honored, so anyone not under contract with HBO could be signed for a televised fight - but just one fight. This is a good idea. Otherwise we would have been watching Calzaghe and Hatton tuneups lately.

It seems like Corrales and Casamayor are Showtime fighters, but only because they have a good working relationship and keep televising them.

The only drawback is that Showtime gets a good prospect on ShoBox and HBO signs them away when they're a star - see Cintron, Diaz, Juarez, and it looks like Malignaggi

Showtime needs to get a good investor, corrales/freitas/tszyu (who is on his way out in my mind) and Tyson are showtime exclusives and that is holding them all back.....

Showtime needs to pick up corrales/freitas as well as Spinks (im surprised hbo hasnt swooped down like a vulture and signed freitas and spinks)

HBO lets showtime showcase green fighters and comes in and offers them low money contracts once proven on showtime and showtime needs to stop this and dig deeper into their pockets........

I cant wait until hbo gets the bad taste in their mouth from airing that atrocious ppv card and learn from their mistakes, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say that it only pulls 60-80k (I say 75k) buyers...But I dont doubt 50k...

At the most they will pull in 5 million from ppv and I dont see that being a success.....

I think that HBO knows that Vitali and Williams are not going to bring in alot of money that's why they are not spending much on the promotion of the fight.

An investment in Vitali, with brother Wlad jumping to Showtime and Williams having fought his only pay cable fight on Showtime too? Good idea...

                No, Big mistake

Showtime most likely picked up wladimir cheap and he still puts asses into seats because of the "whats going to happen" scenario.

HBO made a decent deal off of Vitali, because of the Lewis matchup and they can pay him minimum cash and bank a good bit....For every 1 million Vitali makes HBO doubles or triples that......

Fair deal for both networks, but in the end I fear it will both come up and bite them on the ass...Sooner for HBO though, If Danny Williams pulls it out against Vitali HBO is in trouble, because they have no great heavyweight and w/ king leaving HBO it only gets darker....

HBO makes huge bank off of the smaller fighters though...

Vitali's a guy that - at least appears to be - one who would take a bit less money to go to a network that supports his brother. Especially if Wlad loses again and becomes an afterthought in the division, Showtime's loyalty might make the difference.

I see Showtime showing the next Byrd, Ruiz event anyway while King threatens HBO and "searches" for a Boxing network avenue.

Yes! Totally, I agree with that...Vitali seems to fight for his legacy and family tradition/values...

Vitali and wladimir would both fight for 100,000 dollars if it granted them both title shots...I like this they are not money hungry and dont price themselves out, which is why both networks got a decent deal..

Both Klitschkos made huge bank in Germany in the ring and in Modeling...They do it for the love of the sport and the dream of being 2 champions at once and I like that, unlike most people who price themselves out...
