I have a pretty good feeling that all of the Calzaghe haters on here were saying Lacy was going to be the next big thing.
Calzaghe is an incredible fighter and no matter how many people he beats or how dominant he is, somebody has to find something wrong with him. Who else is left to beat? So what if he doesn't go for the knockout every time, Willie Pep only k.o.'d 65 out of his 229 wins, and nobody would say he wasn't a great fighter.
Why risk breaking a hand , that will happen in his case, and risk losing if you could win another way?
Also, as much of a fan of his i am not, Floyd Mayweather was also a great fighter. Everybody is upset because they had his next few fights scheduled for him, get over it, he is allowed to quit when he wants. If he was still fighting in one of these fantasy fights that everybody wanted to see, then half of the haters on here would be his fan again.
Also, Margarito isn't great!!! Yeah i said it, he had one great fight, he was impressive, but until he proves himself over time, he should not be placed up on this pedestal that so many people put him on. Even Ingemar Johansson had one good fight. If Cotto beat him everbody that talks **** about him now would have called him the greatest Welterweight ever and said that Margarito was a bum that lost to a bunch of nobodies.
