To be honest i do not think they would fight, knowing what i know about Robinson and Mayweather. Robinson is a more offensive minded fighter and was very explosive so it would also be an interesting style contrast. I consider Robinson to be the bigger man and i think it would end up as a great bigger man beating a great smaller man. It is hard to compare accross that many eras though, not that much good footage on SRR even exists so most opinions on him are just based on hearsay, that said he has the edge in this fight in my estimation.

sugar would have been way to big too strong to fast for floyd, his only flaw was his not so great defense, but seeing as how ray went toe toe with middleweights at welter he walks threw floyd.

I do not think he would be to fast, i put them close in the speed department. Robinson is way more explosive though and has a ton of power. Floyd would have to fight an almost perfect fight to beat him, and if that is what he has to do his chances can not be that great.

I just think that Floyd has a style that does not get steam rolled easily. I think he can lose but it is hard to see Floyd getting whipped because his style is not condusive to taking an ass whipping.

You gonna continue to spam? Whats your agenda? Putting him against GREATS is only making him look better. Ofcourse in this fight I'd pick SRR being that he is 5'11, has a much bigger frame, faster hand speed, more power BUT! Listen...sig it if you want. P4P Mayweather beats SRR. Sig it *****

Robinson was a very large welterweight. I think Floyd could neutralize a large part of his offense and win several rounds but would ultimately lose a decision based on inferior workrate. It would be interesting to see to what extent Robinson could figure him out.
