Probably the poor scoring was the result of individual incompetence and biases, the fights were likely not fixed.

I think that French welterweight got a bad shake against the WW from the D.R.
The fight was 10-10 with 20 seconds left in the 4th, and the judge gave the Dominican fighter two points for a foul "comitted" by the French fighter. Don't know if this fight has anything to do with it, but I felt bad for the French dude.

you say "committed" as if he didn't hold. It not only happened, but was his second foul in as many rounds.

Granted, Diaz was lucky to win as that was a huge upset - 4 of his points came from fouls, with Vastine actually winning 10-8 w/o the deductions.

Still, Vastine was WAY up and has only himself to blame for letting Diaz back into the fight.
