    Not ready at all...

Nate campbell hits too hard and too seasoned at this stage, guzman is too skilled, although I think khan would be competitive against both.

Knowing frank warren he will wait for one of the champs to start looking vulnerable, and find an easy mark at the right time for khan, thats what warren is good at, Khan's new trainer said he'd be ready in 3 or 4 fights. So expect him to fight for one this time next year.

Lets see how he progresses under the new trainer, in particular with his defence, being in the same stable as yuri gamboa can only be good for khan also.

he has done nothing, his competition couldnt even be described as decent,

they were absolute bums, he has yet to fight a c level fighter

Khan-Campbell would be a good fight, and either a star is born, or a fraud is exposed. Whichever one, it would make an entertaining boxing match.
I hope Guzman doesn't win because I'm not a fan of his style.
not a chance in those fights with either gets made.

          neither is an old featherweight.

guzman is a feather but he's not that old at 30 plus.

nate is older but he's a lightweight.

I didn't even mention anything about his competition in my post so I don't know what you are responding to.

I've been watching boxing enough to know a good fighter when I see one and he is a really good fighter who will accomplish alot if he takes things slow. At the moment, even if his competition isn't that great, its still alot better than it should be for his age and experience level.

boxrec has a computerized ranking system without bias and he has been ranked in the top ten lightweights for the past year so you can't really argue with the fact that his competition is not as bad as its being made out to be. And if you don't respect boxrec's calculating system well then ring also has him in their top ten. How many 21 year olds do you know of that are top 10 in their division?

This is what I am thinking. This new trainer gets picked to by both Yuriorkis Gamboa and Amir Khan within a couple of months. Two of the brightest prospects in boxing, I imagine he has something to teach them.
Khan also stated that they have been focusing on defense, which is exactly what we all agreed he should have been doing. When you factor in how young he is, a solid year or two with this guy and he could be a whole new fighter.
But right now, he would make too many mistakes to take the elite guys. In a couple of years, who knows.

He's in a tough division to develop himself now, he's tall so eventually he'll be going to jr.lightweight. I don't think he should challenge any champion at 135, he should go straight to 140 and after one or two fights challenge Andreas Kotelnik or Kendall Holt. But between Guzman and Campbell he has a better chance to beat Nate, he can't face Guzman now.
