Not to mention refused to fight any top super welters. Before Tito ruined him, Vargas begged for a shot at Oscar. DLH said he would NEVER fight him because he disrespected him. Of course, he uses disrespect as the reason why he fought a shot to **** Chavez TWICE. But after Vargas got destroyed by Tito, knocked down and badly rocked by light hitting Wilfredo Rivera and stunned by his sparring partner, he became a good opponent all of a sudden.

For those who wonder why the Ring's Top 80 list had Tito well ahead of Oscar, you had to have been a big boxing fan to actually remember how their careers went after 147 and also what people thought of Oscar's career BEFORE 147. Some of you go on boxrec, look at it now and go "Wow! He fought them all." Not quite youngblood, not quite.
On being called scared, a bum, or coward by fans : MARCUS RHODE:

It doesn’t bother me because the simple fact is half these guys have never put the leather on, they have never been hit, never been nothing. It doesn’t bother me because all they can do is run their mouth because if they could get in the ring they would have gotten in there...

Translation: I don't apply this to myself when it comes to margarito but I will use it when I don't have a better comeback.

Second, I gave you no reasoning about Margs not being a draw as having anything to do with Dlh not fioghting him so don't lie to the boards. Third, Dlh only entertained a fight with Mora. Until anything is seriously talked about, please...don't include him. And finally, I'm a Floyd fan. Is Dlh a coward to you. You ever box. What is a coward. Is a coward a 34 year olde man who fought them all, all of a sudden a coward. Dlh apologist...lol comical.
Floyd is retired because he did not want to address his challenges he and basically kept saying they are'nt going to make me enough money so i will not fight them thats the biggest ***** move in history

He never fought the best at 130.

He never fought the best at 135.

He never fought the best at 140.

It took a complete backlash from fans and a whole lot **** before he finally stepped up at 147.

And he is blatantly ducking the top welters (Margarito & Williams) right now.

I'm surprised at some of you guys. Oscar De La Hoya had a rep for dodging big fights up until welter. More important than WHO is WHEN. Keep that in mind when looking at a fighter's record.
Yeah, but who didn't he fight that he was suppposed to? It isn't about who you think he didn't fight. Ducking means you were supposed to fight someone, and you didn't. That is ducking. Saying this fighter didn't fight that fighter can be done with any top boxer in history. Who he could've fought and who he didn't are two totally different thoughts.

You can't name anyone he was supposed to fight that he didn't.

Who didn't he fight that he was supposed to? How about the best in those divisions? Who else was he supposed to fight? Man, you're just talking nonsense. Peace.

I could but you'd find new excuses. Why don't you go back and fight out who the best were at the time? And then compare it to who he actually fought.

                    Too hard for you?
