Nate Campbell put in a great performance and deserved the win and the belts.

As soon as the fight was over, people on here tried to claim that Campbell must have been using something, and that he got away with it because the fight was in Mexico, where apparently they don't test.

It seems to me that the claims originated with people who were trying to downgrade Campbell's win, rather than from some secret inside source.

Keith Kizer of the Nevada State Athletic Commission told ****************** that, while the endurance enhancement steroid EPO is not approved and permitted for boxers, it is not really tested for either.

“When it comes to Human Growth Hormone (HGH) and EPO, those are not going to be identified in a urine test. It takes blood testing to catch someone using HGH and EPO and the testing is not developed yet to detrermine that with urine testing. Hopefully, that is something that is around the corner," Kizer said Thursday.

When Sugar Shane Mosley, who admits to using EPO but has made a sworn statement saying he only did so because BALCO figure Victor Conte told him it was a legal and permitted steroid, was supposed to be fighting Zab Judah in Las Vegas, the Judah camp asked the NSAC to make Mosley take a blood test to look for EPO usage.

When Judah got cut in the famous shower door accident and Mosley-Judah wound up being scratched with Judah going on to fight and lose to Joshua Clottey, the EPO issue went away.

There’s been no word on the Ricardo Mayorga camp making it an issue in Calfornia Mosley fights Mayorga Sept. 27 at the Home Depot Center near Los Angeles.

Now it’s in the news as Joan Guzman manager Jose Nunez told ****************** that he is asking the Mississippi commission to make WBA, IBF and WBO champ Nate Campell have a blood test. Nunez said he has heard allegations that Campell used EPO while prepping for his smashing victory over Juan Diaz.

In response, Campbell co-promoter Terry Trekas challenged the Guzman camp to a $1 million bet and said any blood test done on Campbell will show him to be completely steroid free.

Many medical experts have said they believe EPO doping is running rampant in the Beijing Olmypics.

EPO blood doping has been cited in cycling more often than in any other sport.
