why would they tell him to ko him and be aggressive unless they thought he needed it after Hopkins dropped him and hurt him more than once during the fight, it just seems like a bad thing to do if they were sure he has winning,

why risk getting ko`d if they were sure that Calzaghe was winning?

There's no need to discuss this anymore. Bhop won that fight. His whiteboy comment did him in. Everyone was incensed over it. Still are even. He sold the bout wrong. You're supposed to make a bout national, not racial. I'll never reward a fight to a guy who can barely land clean on his opponent, I don't care if the punch disparity is 4 to 1. Hopkins did what he could with his old bones and looked the victor to me. I'm not gonna penalize a man who got old during a fight but did the best with the tools he had, that's not right to me. He was hitting clean. If Joe was hitting clean throughout, I'd have no problem saying he won, but **** it, he wasn't doing ****. It's on Joe to disrupt Nard's spoiling, but he couldn't.. so why should I reward him? Because he flipped his arms around more?

"I know I won. I fought a really hard fight. I had to let the punches go as the fight wore on. He was very defensive. I was only hurt once. It was the hardest fight of my career. I was a bit rusty at the start. I knew this wouldn't look pretty tonight. In training I concentrated on not rushing it, but I am glad to have landed more punches on Hopkins than anyone else has ever managed. He was awkward. He gave me some big shots..

He said himself he was hurt.
He said Hopkins is defensive so his style is suited for Calzaghe
He said Hopkins was his hardest fight.

              You going to argue this??

NO one arguing who won the fight. But Hopkins was Calzaghes best win

                      Hopkins is Calzaghe best win.
                      When they fought Calzaghe

                      Mikkel Kessler
                      Age:28

                      P4P Status: Wasn’t in the top 10
Wins before the fight: Librado Andrade and Markus Beyer Neither in the p4p list

                      The fight

Calzghe dominated, Kessler had no answer loses in a UD

                      Bernard Hopkins
                      Age: 43

P4P Status: Was in the top 5
Wins before the fight: Ronald Wright Antonio Tarver Both were in the p4p list.
                      The fight

It was an ugly fight. Hopkins knocked down Calzaghe, but loses his stamina. Calzaghe wins in a SD, but some had Hopkins winning.

                      - HBO's Harold Lederman scored the bout 116-111 for Calzaghe.
                      - Associated Press, Yahoo, and ESPN scored the bout 114-113 for Hopkins.

The reason why they say Kessler was Calzaghe best wins

1 They don’t want to say their fighter’s best win was over a 43 year old man which included a knock down.

2 They don’t want an old yank to be his hardest fight

3 Saying Kessler was harder makes Europeans fighters look better, hence helping Calzaghe resume.

4 They are Hoping Kessler becomes a very good fighter years later hence saying that was Calzaghe best win

5 Hopkins made Calzaghe look like an amateur

Hopkins was Calzaghe best win; there is no need to deny this. Hopkins is the better fighter and his status was higher at the time when they fought and gave Calzaghe a harder fight.
