Too close to call. I got Nate on this one a little bit coz hes the defending champ. But I think he'll be the underdog again. With these guys caliber, anything can happen. Guzman must try a bit harder to convince the judges that hes no joke at this level. Lets get it on.

Wooooo, the lightweight division is bringing boxing to the fore as usual. This fight and the Casa/Marquez are what it's all about ladies and gents. This will be a really hard fight for both guys. I'm thinking Guzman will take it, but that is far from certain and could be because I'm biased as Guzman is one of my favourite fighters. Campbell is something else though and really knows how to make things hard.

As long as Guzman does have the strength and conditioning he says he has for this fight that should help him a great deal as Campbell will be in there to break the smaller Guzman down and wear him out towards the end of the fight. Campbell will be bringing his game though and Guzman will have to be wary of not going overboard at the start which he sometimes has a tendency to do and tire out down the stretch. That will be Campbell's biggest chance, if Guzman tires down the stretch, Campbell will make it very difficult.

In conclusion it is quite possible that Campbell can take this especially if Guzman is underestimating the spoiling, roughhousing tactics of Campbell. If Campbell can catch Guzman then we will see of he can actually hurt Guzman. No one has been able to yet, but, I don't think that will come into play so much as the way Campbell fights. If he can mess Guzman's boxing up enough to put him off his countering game then he could out-point him. Guzman will have to be very slick in this fight and make sure he doesn't get caught up in the emotion of the fight and try to go for the kill, which he often does. If that happens and Campbell can turn it into a messy scrap he has a great chance of winning it.

V.Cas? What is up with you mate? You haven't even seen many Guzman fights so what the hell are bitching about all this running, hugging and dancing crapola for? Seriously, how many fights have you seen of his? Honestly. One? Let me guess, you saw the fight with Soto right? Which was similar to Cotto fighting Margarito in the size difference. The fight difference is that Guzman knew how to keep it in the middle, clinch properly and not get caught and beat up on the ropes. Either way, you would know that he is not the fighter you think he is if you had actually seen many of his fights. Very typical mistake of someone who has not seen any of his fights. Go watch the five previous fights to the Soto fight and come back and tell us he is a 'runner' and 'dancer' as you put it.

i agree with you. styles make fights and i like campbell but that's the wrong style for him. guzman is like another mayweather! he's too slick and too fast. so i'm taking guzman too but i wouldn't be surprised if somehow nate pulled it off. it's gonna be a good one though i think!

sorry man, Campbell aint got a chance, he got to box with Diaz but that aint gonna happen with Guzman. It will be a frustrating night for Campbell trying to hit Guzman.

Guzman is fast but does not have good defensive technique. Nate is going to beat him down! He will have to take some to give some but he can give better than Guzman. Fighters that dont like to get hit usually dont respond well when they get hit. Nate by 9th rd KO.

I honestly think that Guzman wins. I think he is too quick and too much of a good boxer!

Campbell is a character but I just don't see him beating guzman. I say guzman by a ugly 12 round decision. Joan won't be mixing it with nate, he'll just hit and run. He doesn't have the power to hurt nate! I don't think campbell can afford to lose though, not at his age. Campbell done well to claim them titles from diaz, but if he loses them I doubt he'll ever get another!

Nate Campbell is going to sleep that night. I can't wait for it. Robbie Peden KO'd his dumb ass because he was clowining around and Robbie doesn't hit as hard as Guzman does, nor is he as fast. Nope, Campbell is going to take a nap in the center of the ring around the 6th or 7th rounds, mark my words.
