Homey, I'm one of the biggest Floyd Mayweather fans of all time. I've been to a ton of his fights live and even talked to him when he came to Chicago for his press conference w/De La Hoya.
I even have a signed shirt of his framed and hanging on a wall in my den. LOL!
But lets be real, Roy in his prime was better than Floyd in his prime. As GREAT as Floyd was, he never fought a James Toney or Bernard Hopkins type fighter. Never.
The closest he came to that was Oscar and Zab...close but no cigar.
Lets not forget Floyd's near DEATH experience with Emmanual Burton. LOL! I was there for that fight at the COBO center and Floyd seriously got WORKED. To his credit, he wound up stopping Burton, but he got that ass tapped in the process.
Prime Roy was UNTOUCHABLE.Comment

You think Mayweather would beat Jones? Do you mean P4P? If they fought it would be a massacre, Jones is a LHW Mayweather is better suited for LWW.Comment

Wassup Jabs (this is the minister aka malcolm)!
Roy Jones was never EXPOSED. The guy didn't get a legitimate loss on his record until he was 35 years old. Big deal. The guy turned pro in 1988. For people who say he fought only bums and cab drivers then I guess you consider Bernard Hopkins, James Toney and even Antonio Tarver bums as well.
People who say Roy Jones was exposed more times than not have NO boxing experience or even fighting experience of any kind. Everyone has to lose at some point - unless you're fortunate enough to opt for early retirement like Floyd.
But trust, if Floyd comes back and fights the TOP DOGS at 147 until he's 36 years old, his 0 will be gone baby gone.
As usual, you speak with nothing but logic. Good luck with that in here ! I don't even know whynI bother sometimes.Comment

Roy fought cans after Toney?
Antonio Tarver is a can? Fighting John Ruiz at heavyweight is "can business"? Clinton Woods is a can? Eric Harding was a can? Eric Lucas a can?
Let me tell you something: Eric Harding > Zab Judah, Sharmba Mitchell, Arturo Gatti, Phillip N'dou, Henry Bruseles, etc...Comment

See kids, that is how a true boxing analyst looks at things. Look at things, as they are....not as your heart or your **** dictates.Comment
