To Gomez: I actually find him exciting and pretty awe-inspiring as well. I mean, really, how in the **** does he never get tired? His chin is incredible, but even more incredible is his stamina. Cotto beat him up for a lot of their fight, and he was ready to go run a ****ing marathon at the end of it. Insane.
I think that's why it's not exciting though. I'm not saying he's not interesting to watch, but it's boring. It's literally the same thing, over and over, until the the final bell rings or his opponent falls down. Nothing changes, and the fact that he can't get knocked out removes one of the most interesting aspects from a fight.

Lol Margarito is the defination of america? A mexican? Didnt Paul Williams a real black american beat him and yet Margarito is still more popular than he is. Kind of sad huh.....it seems that in 99 percent of the threads in this chatroom has something to do with praising some non white or black fighter and praising some asian, mexican or latino. Paul Williams should be getting more praise around here.

Good you can be unbiased homey. A lotta other people can't. Most people can't seem to like a fighter without blatantly hatin on any figter who opposes him. Loyalists of PBF, Cotto, and Williams just don't wanna give the man any cred for what he's done. He's king of the WW's right now. He's taken on 2 titleholders and beaten them by brutal KO. He could fight anotha champ in Clottey or Williams this year. Of course fans of his rivals ain't gonna like him but he should have every real boxing fans' respect by now.

That's fair... I guess there is a difference between exciting and interesting.

Still though... did you enjoy the Pacquiao-Morales trilogy? In those fights Pacquiao was a left hand only fighter (means he was doing the same thing over and over) and both had great chins, meaning that there wasn't going to be a KO (or so we thought... at least a KO caused by punches and not just age/making weight). That **** was on fire even though those two things are true.

Back to the topic. I just find it incredible to watch a guy that can be described as a tank with a gattling gun instead of a cannon as his weapon. ****ing nuts.

Keep a lookout for Viva Mexico or NORGRD4HMNLIFE or whatever his ****ing name is now. THAT is the reason that a lot of people dislike Margarito.

I can respect him as a MONSTER in boxing yes..and for accomplishing "the american dream" as someone put it..

But honestly as a boxing fan..I could care less for his style..and his, IMO, lack of skill..

I enjoyed the first fight, as everybody should have, but the 2nd and 3rd there was no need for. It was clear that they shouldn't have gotten in the ring after Morales' horrible showing against Raheem.

Agreed, but then that means that Pacquiao falls 100% in line with your criticism about Margarito. One-dimensional, not particularly skilled, and no chance of a KO in the fight. It was a still a badass fight though, right?
