Margarito has earned a lot of the praise he is getting by beating Cotto.

How about both, and i'm a calzaghe fan. When you see threads claiming "Margarito would destroy Mayweather" or "Margarito would annihilate SRR" or how about the classic "Margarito is more feared than a prime Tyson" Margarito is overrated. No one can convince me otherwise. Their are some reasonable posters who rate Margarito where he should be a limited welterweight with a granite chin and brute strength not a feared ATG
