*******, was he on the **** while he was fighting cuz hard punchers did hurt him but he'd keep coming and coming **** was crazy. We've seen Margarito who hasn't gotten hurt by punchers like Cintron/Cotto BUT Hawk did get hurt and kept coming. It was like scarface

Anyone who can do to Arguello what he did is an outstanding fighter, no question.

His only marquee fights were against Arguello, who was coming up several weight classes (overall) and at the tail end of his career. There was also controversy in the first fight. But he was a fierce, tough fighter and basically undefeated regardless of the strength of his resume. He also used a unique style reminiscent of Henry Armstrong. So he's more remembered for these than for pure status.
