De La Hoya wants to retire with another big name on his record, just beating Cotto doesnt cut it.

So basically, since you know that any answer you give will be complete crap, you resort to asking me a question.

I have the balls to answer.

            None.

Now tell me of these guys that DLH beat that hadn't already been beat down before.

            Let them hang Frank.

It doesn't matter to those cats.

They think its still 1998, not 2008.

DLH prime, most likely outpoints Tony.

This isn't that DLH anymore and hasn't been for a long time.

Even then, I think this fight is going to happen.

PS. A lot of the people saying Oscar is scared of Margarito were saying Oscar was scared of Vargas.
                  1. Oscar has had a better career than Marg.
                  a. As in the past not recently though, I do give him credit for having more ring experience and knowledge (someting Cotto was also credited for).

                  2. ODLH biggest enemy IMO would be his age and inactivity in the last few years. Maybe a fight every 18 months average.

IMO it could still be a great fight, regardless.

                    Posted this on other threads:
                    >> De La Hoya has tremendous clout in the boxing business. If Oscar wanted to fight Antonio Margarito..he would just make the fight. No stories, no excuses, no BS. He doesn't want the fight and he doesn't want to fight him... <<

..which is unfortunate; because even if he lost (which I believe he would), his "swan song" stature would be more elevated then if he took a win over a slim chance opponent.

Oscar would do fine the first couple of rounds but once those body shots of Margarito start taking effect and Oscar starts feeling his stomach burn its over for him. Margarito will tear him apart with continous punches to the body and oscar will not even have time to take a dive!
