No way a fight between those two goes past 8, maybe 9 max. I'd have to pick Klitchko by beatdown. Lewis was badly gassed at the end of the last round they fought. And he'd already thrown the hardest punches he was going to be able to throw in that fight without much effect (cuts aside, the worst of which wasn't even a clean punch but a glancing blow). I think Klitchko would probably get him hurt with a short left and have time to finish him sometime after 5 and before 7, maybe 8. He very badly hurt Lewis in the 2nd (I think...been awhile) in their first fight, but didn't have the time to finish. Lewis would've been 6 months (or more) older, and I just don't think he would've finished on his feet.
Now, having said all that, I also believe that if Lewis could catch Klitchko just right, he might be able to take the big guy out instead, but he'd have to do it early, while he's still fresh. His punches lose steam pretty quick and I don't think he'd have the power to take out Klitchko after about the 4th. His punches were having less and less effect the first fight. Still, I think it much more likely that Vitali would be the last man standing.
But, we'll never know. In my opinion, that would be the perfect fight to do on a computer simulation, full animation, so the boxing fans could have what we prayed for and never received.Comment

i just thought about the fact that if Salvador Sanchez hadnt suffered his tragic death that its quite possible that him and Julio Cesar Chavez would have fought. That would have been the biggest fight in mexico's history!!! Shame that Sal had to go...Comment
