"Winky Hit's harder than Joe C"-B-Hop

When Bernard was asked how Pavlik compares to his last opponents he had this to say.

"There's different styles. I can't compare him with Winky or Joe Calzaghe. If you tell me who hits the hardest, I don't know yet, but I do know that Winky Wright hits harder than Joe Calzaghe. Even though Winky has a defensive catch you while your throwing punches style, Winky is a much better puncher."

Thoughts anyone? The article was on B talk.

I think me Nan hits harder than Calzaghe nowdays (Ok not quite but you get what I'm saying) Most boxers may well do single punch wise.

Prime Calzaghe had power, his KO record speaks for itself. There's no denying that.

I ain't surprised at that statement. I agree Winky's got more power than Joe C.

I think one of the things that added to my dislike of Calzaghe and his style was this:

You can try to feed me some bull **** about how the counter-punch bag is meant to increase his handspeed, reflexes, whatever... but we all know that's him training exactly how he wants to throw ***** punches that couldn't hurt a god damn 5 year old.

I'm pretty sure I've had rougher massages than that bag is getting. Hell, I'm pretty sure the hookers with sandpaper like hands from being so calloused are rougher on my **** than those punches would be.

I get ya point, but the whole point of that exercise was about speed not power.

if thats true, it's a little sad that a man who was his best at 54 hits harder than a man who spent his career at smw.

I'm shocked by that to be honest, and I'm a huge Winky fan.

I figured a guy who didn't have the power to KO anyone at 154 against a guy who used to be able to KO people at 168 would easily go to the career 168 pounder.

Joey Cal must really punch like a ***** if Hopkins is telling the truth.

its a bit obvious considering Joe didn;t land anything on him hardly. Even the dlaps had no effect and even a blind man can see that Joe got outboxed and outfoxed by an old man. The judges gifted him the decision for PR reasons.
