clottey is a tougher fight than williams

clottey is a great boxer and counterpuncher with good defense. i think this is the toughest style for margarito to fight. margarito cannot just go in recklessly and in the first fight he didnt really beat up clottey. he just outworked him.

in the williams fight margarito just started slow and once he got going he gave williams a vicious beating. from the look of both fighters after the fight you would think margarito dominated the entire fight. in the rematch margarito will just get started earlier and dominate williams so im glad margarito is being a real man and true warrior and taking the tougher fight with clottey. this is the same as when margarito took the tougher fight with williams instead of cotto last year.

Don't even start that **** man, yesterday you were defending a fight against De la Hoya. All fighters want to get paid man and your Hero Margarito is no different. The only reason he'd fight Oscar is because of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

As for the topic, I think they are both equally tough fights for Margarito and it's great that the WW division is getting unified and cleaned out.

I don't get it. Margarito beat Clottey, yes there are question surrounding the fight, could Clottey had beaten Margarito had he not hurt his hands? We don't know.

But Williams already beat Margarito, clearly. And I'm not really buying Margarito starting faster would win him the fight because Williams actually won the 12th round of their fight when Margarito had already got going. Williams is a tougher fight stylistically but I wouldn't put it past Clottey to beat Margarito either.

Rematching a guy you have already beat is not tougher then rematching a guy that already beat you. In most cases anyways and this fight is not an exception.

I guess Margarito thinks this will be an easier fight? IDK. Being that he's a true warrior, you'd think he'd want to avenge his loss. At least it's a unification bout though..

Williams won and Clottey lost. Don't mean Clottey ain't a tough challenger to Tony, but I don't think he's as tough a fight for him as Williams was. Williams flipped the script on Tony by outworkin him. Clottey is much more accurate and a better defender than Williams, but he ain't busy or powerful enough to keep Tony off him. Neither guy ever hurt Tony, but Williams did better than Cottey did obviously.

Margarito doesnt have any other choice but to take this fight, Arum needs to keep Rito's belt/power in between Top rank and having him fighting clottey controls that, Even if Clottey wins they would either do a rematch or Top rank would have Clottey fighting Cotto.

Its more dangerous for Rito to lose his belt to an outsider like Williams because Arum doesnt have any control over what Williams does or would do if he beats Margarito again.
